Looking Back as We Move Ahead: Thirty Years of Ann Arbor Bonsai Society History
The Ann Arbor Bonsai Society was founded in 1970.
The purpose of The Ann Arbor Bonsai Society shall be to promote knowledge, appreciation, and
practice of the art of bonsai to its members and to the general public through meetings, lectures, workshops,
exhibitions, publications or other means.
The Society holds regular meetings, workshops, an annual show and several informal gatherings for members
and their guests. Meetings are held monthly, with the exception of December, on the last Wednesday
of the month. All meetings are held in the Auditorium at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens on Dixboro
Road in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Programming typically begins at 7:30, but members usually gather prior
to socialize and share knowledge.
Check back here soon as there is more to tell about the Ann Arbor Bonsai Society and its members.
