Detroit Zoo July 26 – 27, 2025
Celebrating Bonsai and the Bonsai Clubs and Collections in Michigan

Last June the Detroit Zoo extended an invitation to the Ann Arbor Bonsai Society to put on a bonsai exhibition at the Zoo.
On July 27th the club hosted a one-day show that included 25 trees, artists doing demos, Green Witch Gardens vending and 2 workshops where participants paired up with club members to have their trees styled.
It was a very successful event for both the Zoo, the participants and our club members.
We have been invited back for 2025 with idea of expanding the show to a two-day event with up to 75 trees. The only way for this to happen is with the participation of other Michigan bonsai clubs and collections.
